Synergy And Balance

We’ve had a few days of beautifully mild and sunny weather over the Autumn Equinox weekend and so I decided not to have my traditional potluck but something a little lighter –  brown and wild rice with leafy spinach, organic canned tomatoes, mushrooms, and a bit of grated cheese. It was delicious.
I hope you had a beautiful Equinox!
In the meantime, it’s become truly autumn. It’s foggy and grey, and I feel the urge to spend my evenings reading or gaming wrapped in a woollen blanket and drinking tea or a glass of red wine (both warming!). The moon is waning too, and I don’t really feel like going out, so I’ve been spending my time on the new Tribal Community which is well on its way by now! People are still a little shy to post, but most of them have arrived in the forum and some have introduced themselves. I’m hoping for many new conversations there soon!
The next step will be enrolling everyone into the workgroups or e-course groups they’d like to join. Impatient hag that I am, I can’t wait for the messages to pour in, but I’m reminding myself that people also have other things to do (unbelievable!) and that it’ll take a few more days. What a lovely little lesson for me there.
Of course what all this means is that this is the perfect time to join if you haven’t already! This community is shaping up to be amazing. The people who’ve joined so far are beautiful, wise individuals, and just imagining what synergy they’ll create when they all start sharing and learning together, gives me shivers (the good kind). If you want to be part of this amazing synergy, sign up here!
What else is going on? I’m stuck in the last week of the business year at work so I’m still very busy, protecting my sleep, and taking it easy otherwise. For Saturday I’ve booked a massage and a hair cut, and I’ll go to the Bray Pagan Moot to nourish my soul – which is very very important these days in order to keep in balance.
Balance. It’s the theme of this time of the year. Day and night, the warm and the cold season. Can you feel it? If you can’t, then now is a perfect time to introduce more balance to your life. The universe will make it easy for you, reflecting on the outside what’s going on inside of you. Hmmm… this might be the time to dig out last year’s project of creating a series of guided meditations. I gave up on the project for a while, but I still have the first drafts. It was meant to be a journey to balance, recognition, and love, a while life journey really in the form of metaphorical wanderings. Maybe that would be something for the Tribal Community?
We’ll see.

  1. Funny how this year fall blew into my hometown right on the “stroke of Equinox”, the leaves began falling, the wind blowing and much rain. I'm dressing in lots of layers right now trying to keep my heat bill from rising too quickly. I do love Autumn though–it appeals to my introspective nature. Much Love to you and stay warm! 🙂

  2. Autumn can be very cosy in the right environment – I loved having a fireplace in previous places I rented, and used to cuddle up in front of the fire with a good book after coming in from a long autumn walk 🙂 When my home is mostly cold, I'm not very comfortable though, and so I'm always dreading autumn these days!
    Much love xx

  3. I have to tell you that I miss autumn. I haven't had a proper autumn since 2008! My home state of Texas doesn't have them and there's surely no autumn/winter on a tropical island. But it has been raining a lot lately and the air is a bit cooler, so I guess that will do 🙂

  4. Awwww 🙂 Here in Ireland, we have autumn, but it's a bit like autumn is all year. The differences between the seasons aren't as pronounced as they are where I grew up (on the continent). But it's beautiful – and of course, you get time on the beach instead! xx

I love the new community!! It's great and homey 🙂
And yesss, I have been feeling serious autumn energy lately… Everything is slowing down, and I feel the need for hot tea and afternoons of reading books on the sofa! We're going on a mushroom walk next weekend and I'm so looking forward to that. This is an amazing time to go into the forest!! In about a week or two I can start putting the halloween decorations up 🙂 Joy!! 😉

  6. Oooooh mushroom walks – I love those! There's not quite enough forest around here, but we used to go mushroom-“hunting” a lot when I grew up in Germany. Have a beautiful time! xx
